People underestimate how awful going to University can be. I don't want to scare you, but there's a lot of down side.
First, you need to pay a lot of money. Learning is expensive. Books are not cheap. And lets not forget all the other little things like ink, bus tickets, food, etc. So you need to have a part-time job. You go to Uni all week, spend your evening doing homeworks and work all weekend. You simply forget what a day off feels like.
Teacher are there to help, but they really don't care if you have 57717294839 things due this week, they will still add one more. It's stressfull. They tell you to start your work early, but they give you all the infos you need a week before your deadline. Thank you.
Oh, and the books you need to read for that essay? Well, it's a 500 pages book. Have fun!
Plus, people around you. Those who are not going to Uni are going to tell you to chill out and relaxe. They think that you make it worst than it really is. Your friends are going to go out and you're going to stay home, working or trying to get some sleep...
The week of finals is horrible. You want to cry most of the time because of your never ending To-Do list and your big lack of sleep. You can taste freedom but it still feels so far away.
Sorry about this little break down. I'm exhausted and i started uni only a week ago. I need a break. My christmas holidays were not relaxing at all. I worked a lot, stay up late at night and didn't really had some time off.
Here's to an other trimester, hoping i will survived once again without trying to kill myself.
But with all the craziness that is University, i will forever be grateful for it. Yes, it's hell but i have the chance of learning about things that i love in hope to get a great job. I'm very thankful.
See ya later <3
