Wolverine, in the midst of a mid-life crisis, pays a visit to an old comrade in
Japan and finds himself in the midst of a power struggle.
The Wolverine was a good movie. The action scenes were great and Hugh Jackman delivers his best performance of the character to date. But there are things in the storyline that bothers me (SPOILLERS!)
The film never offers any sort of clarification or explanation on many things, like how the hell the robot cut Wolverine's adamantium claws. adamantium is supposed to be unbreakable, right? but there's more, like the boring Viperwoman is still a mystery : What is motivating her? What does she want? Is she working for herself? Or is she working for Grandpa and if so, why? How did she inject the spider onto Wolverine's heart? Just by kissing him in the middle of the night or with the tea?
I also didn't like the forced romance....
(SPOILLER OVER)
BUT I did like the movie. I love the action, Wolverine, the 3D was nice too. The best part was the black ninjas, doing ninja things in the middle of the night. AWESOME. I love the red head Japanese girl, she so cool. I hope we get to see her again some day.
So, The Wolverine gets a 3.5/5, it was good but not the best X-Men movie.
Stay after the movie for a little special scene. ;)
